Paula Dunn

A former sprinter for England and Great Britain, Paula Dunn excelled in the 100m, 200m and 4 x 100m relay. At the 2012 Paralympic Games in London, the Olympic speaker was one of the coaches who helped the team to finish in third place.

Before retiring, Paula had notched up several medals for England in the Commonwealth Games. Her finest moment was when she won a gold medal at the 1986 games in Edinburgh in the 4 x 100m relay.

At the same games she won a silver medal in the 100m, can achievement she repeated in 1990 in the 4 x 100m relay in Auckland. In the same year, Paula won a bronze medal representing Great Britain in the European Championships in Split, Croatia, in the 4 x 100m relay.

Four years later, the Olympic speaker won two more bronzes, this time in the Commonwealth Games in Victoria, Canada – one in the 100m and one in the 4 x 100m relay. Nationally, Paula Dunn was the AAAs National Champion five times in the 100m (1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1995) and once in the 200m in 1989.

She was also UK National Champion in the 100m in 1986, 1987 and 1988 and in the 200m in 1987 and 1988. In the same two years, Paula was AAAs Indoor Champion in the 60m.
