Taking up BMXing seriously aged 20, Charlotte has since gone on to claim countless victories. Accepted to join the Great Britain Cycling Team programme, Charlotte claimed her first major victory with a Bronze at the 2019 World Championships in Freestyle Park. Truly talented in freestyle BMX, Charlotte later went on to claim Gold at the 2019 European Championships and Bronze at the 2021 World Championships competing in Freestyle Park. Continuing her training at Adrenaline Alley and Asylum Skate Park, Charlotte is a promising athlete with many more exhilarating performances yet to come.
Having shown her promise as an athlete in World and European Championships, Charlotte qualified to represent Team GB in BMX Freestyle at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. After their postponement by a year due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Charlotte competed in Tokyo in 2021 and claimed an Olympic Gold in the Freestyle BMX. Making headlines for her extremely difficult trick of the 360 backflip, Charlotte scored an almost faultless score of 97.50 and landed herself in 1st place.
