Christian Malcolm

Double World Sprint Champion At Just 19 Years Old

christian malcolm

Medal-winning track runner Christian Malcolm hails from Wales and the first time that this Olympic speaker hit the big time was when he was only 19 years old and won both the 100m and 200m races at the World Junior Championships. In the same year, he won a 200m silver medal at the Commonwealth Games.

Lauded in Wales, Christian has broken all kinds of world records – Welsh, indoor, junior and senior – and has also won a 200m bronze medal at the Commonwealth Games, a 200m European Silver and two 4 x 100m World Championship bronze medals.

The highly popular Olympic speaker has taken part in three Olympic Games – managing fifth place on both occasions – and he has been captain of Great Britain & Northern Ireland at the 2011 Daegu World Championships. At one stage, he even had trials at Nottingham Forest and Queen’s Park Rangers football clubs.

What makes Christian Malcolm stand out from other successful athletes is his ability to hold an audience and to present incredibly well either on radio or television. So as well as impressing on the track, the Olympic speaker has appeared on BBC Wales Radio and BBC TV, commenting on sports events and interviewing sports personalities who are Olympic hopefuls as well as rugby players, weightlifters and footballers.

Christian has used these skills to entertain and inform audiences who genuinely value his intelligence, insight and infectious presentational style. He has also modelled clothes and appeared in top men’s magazines GQ and FHM.
