Winter Olympics Silver Medal Winner

As a competitor for Scotland, curler and Olympic speaker Greg Drummond was one of the team that won a silver medal at the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia. The Tom Brewster rink team which also included Scott Andrews, Michael Goodfellow and David Murdoch, was beaten 6-5 by Canada.

Not to be confused with the Canadian singer-songwriter of the same name, Greg Drummond has also won silver medals at the World Curling Championships at Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, in 2011 and at Basel, Switzerland, the following year. His two bronze medals have both come in 2013; one at the World Curling Championships in Victoria, Canada, and one at the European Curling Championships in Stavanger, Norway.

As an Olympic speaker, Greg Drummond is able to share his experiences of when he was just 18 years old and took part in the World Junior Curling Championships of 2007, coming in sixth place. Two years later and Greg was appearing in the European Junior Curling Challenge then finishing in fourth place in the Winter University Gamesin Erzurum, Turkey.

Other claims to fame of this highly-talented Olympic speaker include winning the Scottish Men’s Curling Championship in 2011 and 2012. The year 2013 was also a good one for Greg Drummond, winning the German Masters title with David Murdoch.
