Biography

Adam Yates is one of Britain’s leading road and track cyclists who rides for Mitchelton-Scott. In 2016, Yates became the first British rider to win the young rider classification at the Tour de France. Having won one tour stage in his career in the 2014 Tour of Turkey, Yates has often been a team player and helped others in his team win stages. Although not having an abundance of personal success, Yates is known for his willingness to help his team earn regular stage wins. He is a truly inspiring figure as he is willing to sacrifice personal success in order to achieve team goals and victories. As a cycling and Olympic speaker, Yates often reflects on the importance of teamwork in order to achieve team goals. He expresses how teamwork is just as vital in businesses as it is within sports teams.

Tackling the Tour de France on a number of occasions, Yates exceeded expectations at the 2016 tour and placed fourth on the general classification. For a man driven by teamwork and team success, this was a monumental effort. Yates is considered an expert in peak performance and dealing with pressure due to his outstanding work throughout the Tour de France and other world events.

Having competed in one of the sports most gruelling competitions on a number of occasions, Yates continues to perform exceptionally well for his team. Yates can inspire audiences by demonstrating that team success is just as important as personal success, especially within businesses.

Yates’s message is based on what rewards hard work and determination can deliver. He is an inspiration to anyone – young or old – who are frequently amazed by Yates’s level of maturity, insight, commitment and confidence. As well as private events and public conferences, the Olympic speaker has been involved in sports bodies for young people and in youth groups.
