Adam Peaty MBE is a rising British star, he is one of the world’s leading swimmers and specialises in breaststroke. Currently the world record holder of the 50 and 100-metre breaststroke, Peaty first represented Great Britain in the Olympics at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games and went onto represent and win a gold medal at Tokyo 2020 and a Silver in the Men's 100m Breaststroke at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. Swimming comes naturally to Peaty and he won a gold and silver medal in his first Olympics.
An eight-time world champion, Peaty has earned the respect of fellow swimmers but has had to work tirelessly to become one of the world’s best. He was won a number of different awards in his young, successful career. After winning three gold medals at the World Championships in Kazan, Peaty was named the Best Male Swimming Performance at the 2015 FINA Awards. One year later and Peaty received the same award after the 2016 Olympic Games. Peaty won the Male European Swimmer of the Year five years in a row between 2014 and 2018 as well as being named the Male World Swimmer of the Year on two occasions by Swimming World Magazine. He was also awarded an MBE in 2017 for his services to swimming.
