Bryan Steel is a British cyclist best known for his Olympic performance in the team pursuit. Bryan found his love for cycling in his youth, it was something that gave him both a passion and an outlet as a child who was not very academic. Joining the British cycling team when it was not well recognised, Bryan saw the team undergo revolutionary change via a management programme. This programme penultimately saw the team progress into the realm of the Olympic stage.
Bryan’s cycling career is highlighted with appearances at the Summer Olympics four years consecutively, representing his country in 1992, 1996, 2000 and 2004. Bryan also had the opportunity to represent his country at three Commonwealth Games. Whilst competing at the Olympics Bryan claimed a silver medal in the team pursuit at the 2004 Athens Olympic Games and a bronze medal in the team pursuit at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games. He also claimed a number of medals in his Commonwealth Games appearances, winning two silver and one bronze medal.
As well as Olympic and Commonwealth Games, Bryan has also competed in a number of World Championships for cycling. Competing in the UCI Track Cycling World Championships, Bryan claimed silver medals in 2000, 2001, 2003 and 2004 and a bronze medal in 2002 competing in the team pursuit. He also competed in the UCI Track Cycling World Cup Classics, where he claimed first place.
With such a successful cycling career behind him, Bryan decided to establish his own development programme, Winning Mindset. Using his expertise Bryan has developed a number of inspiring and motivating programmes that aim to push people to be positive as well as founding the ability to maximise their true potential. Bryan works to promote the benefits of cycling, pushing the fun and social aspects alongside the benefits that it has to health and wellbeing. The programmes that he provides can range from motivational speeches to one to one mentoring, along with team workshops that can be delivered to a number of corporate clients.
Bryan is able to deliver effective and insightful speeches, utilising his experience as a sportsman, mentor and Olympic sports speaker. He is able to entertain a wide variety of audiences, sharing his positive and motivational attitude with those around him.
