Slalom canoeist and Olympic speaker Richard Hounslow is probably best known as the former European and World Champion in the C-2 (men’s canoe double) and K-1 (kayak single) categories. However, perhaps, more importantly, he was the winner of a silver medal at the London 2012 Olympic Games in the C-2 event, working with David Florence.
Richard’s total medals haul comes to an extremely impressive 20 – as well as the three gold medals, he has won six silvers and 11 bronzes. On top of his two Olympic silvers, nine of his medals have come in the ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships and another nine at the European Championships.
