Tim is regarded as one of Britain’s most successful rowers of all time due to his remarkable career in which he won numerous gold medals. He made a bright start to his career and became the first British rower to win gold medals at two consecutive Junior World Championships. From there he proceeded into the senior squad.
He took to the senior stage like a duck to water and was winning medals in no time. Throughout his prestigious career, Foster won two gold medals at the World Championships as well as winning one gold medal at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games. After winning gold in the Olympics, Foster was awarded an MBE due to his work within the team. Since retiring in 2001, Foster has spent time coaching and managing a number of different rowing teams.
