As the head of elite performance at the Premier League, Dan knows a thing or two about the traits of a high-performance team, and how your business can achieve them.
Dan is credited with turning around the fortunes of the Great Britain cycling team, which went from a relatively lowly status to become world-beaters. His explanation of how he coached cyclists to deliver their very best, winning countless medals and putting British cycling on the map, can be applied to any organisation that is looking to improve the performance of their employees.
After graduating with an MSc in Exercise Science, Dan got a job as an assistant sports scientist at the University of Bath, before becoming a senior physiologist at the English Institute of Sport. Shortly afterwards, he was called in to help with Great Britain’s women’s endurance team. Before the Olympic speaker got involved, the team was winning nothing. After his input, the team went on to win four Olympic medals in 30 months.
Dan’s role in the Premier League saw him enhancing the youth development programme with the aim of bringing on home-grown talent. This commitment to the young people of Britain has changed the lives of many disadvantaged teenagers, opening opportunities for those who deserve them the most. As ever, Hunt’s record of success speaks for itself.
