Biography

Charismatic and passionate, the Paralympic speaker specialises in such topics as overcoming adversity and adapting to challenges, inspired by his personal experience of competing with a disability.

The first medal won by this popular Paralympics speaker, a silver, was at the 2000 Sydney Paralympic Games when he was 18 years old. At the 2004 Athens Paralympic Games he won a gold medal, with a record-breaking throw and four years later at the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games he won a bronze medal.

In 2011, Dan broke the world record yet again, this time at the World Championships in Christchurch, New Zealand and did the same again (twice) a year later. At the 2012 London Paralympics Games, Dan managed a silver medal. Two years later, he won gold at the European Championships and the Commonwealth Games.
