Biography

A record-breaker through and through, her track record is a testament to Dina’s dedication and commitment to sport. As an Olympics speaker, she reflects upon her journey to success, offering her audience an insight into elite competing. Born in London, her first experience of running was with the Blackheath and Bromley Harriers Athletics Club, coached by John Blackie.

Dina’s talent was quickly realised when she ran the 300 metres in 39.16 seconds, setting the current World age 13 best. Reflecting her early success, Dina was shortlisted for the 2013 BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year. In her Olympic speeches, she discusses how she handled such pressure at a young age, offering her audience tips to remain calm.

Throughout her professional athletics career so far, Dina has earned six gold medals from various prestigious international competitions – starting with a silver medal at the 2015 Prague European Athletics Indoor Championships. At her first Olympic games, the 2016 Rio Summer Olympic Games, Dina finished a respectable fifth in the 200 metres. Going from strength to strength, she shined at the 2019 Qatar World Championships, winning one gold and two silver medals in the 200 metres, 100 metres and 4×100 metres relay.

In her motivational sports speeches, Dina emphasises the importance of a strong support circle in order to succeed.
