Biography

This fantastic achievement followed Peter breaking the world double trap record at a World Cup event – falling just two short of the maximum score – and winning silver at another World Cup event. The previous year he won a silver medal at the 2011 European Championships in the team double trap, coming fourth in the individual event after scoring 191. Peter’s career has been filled with success and as an Olympic speaker, he often discusses dealing with pressure and being under the spotlight

The Olympic speaker had shown his talents much earlier, becoming the European Junior Champion in 2006. Little did he know that just seven years later he would be awarded an MBE for his services to shooting and be winning three more gold medals in the 2013 International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup Series. A year later, Peter Wilson retired to become a coach and a prolific Olympic speaker. When presenting at events, Wilson has been known to discuss vital business-related topics such as peak performance, a topic he feels is vital to sports teams and businesses across the world.

Peter oozes passion in his talks about his life and the sport that he grew to love. He charms audiences with anecdotes from his brief but highly successful time at the sharp end of competitive sport and he is able to combine gravitas with a wonderful sense of humour that puts event delegates at ease. Guaranteed to inspire his audiences, Peter can tailor his speeches to suit your needs.
