Starting competing at a junior level, Lauren’s early inspirations were taken from Olympic champion Jade Jones. Joining the GB Academy in Manchester, Lauren soon established a reputation as a force to be reckoned with – claiming her first major victory with a gold at the 2014 World Junior Championships. From that point on, Lauren has claimed countless victories such as gold at the 2016 World Junior Championships, gold at the 2016 and 2018 European Championships, gold at the 2018 Grand Slam and gold at the 2017 and 2018 Grand Prix.
Proving a formidable opponent in the ring, Lauren qualified to compete in the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. After their postponement to 2021, Lauren took to the stage and defeated her opponents to reach the finals. Unfortunately, Lauren was beaten by her opponent Matea Jelic and claimed silver at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. She also attended the 2016 Rio Olympic Games as a reserve athlete, finally able to demonstrate her skills in 2021.
A promising young athlete with an already impressive medal tally to her name, Lauren is now booked as a speaker for a variety of events. Entertaining guests as an after-dinner speaker, Lauren shares with audiences her successes in taekwondo and her journey from kickboxing to taekwondo.
