At the 2023 IPC World Championships in Manchester, she showcased her versatility and skill by winning a gold medal in the Mixed S14 4x100m Freestyle Relay and a silver in the S14 100m Butterfly. These accomplishments followed her impressive debut at the 2022 Madeira IPC World Championships, where she won a medal of every colour, including a gold in the Mixed S14 4x100m Medley Relay. Her incredible performance in 2022 earned her the title of Emerging Para-Swimmer of the Year at the Aquatics GB Awards, highlighting her rapid ascent in the sport.
The drive and passion that define Poppy’s career began at a young age. At just 11 years old, she boldly declared to her coach her ambition to compete at the Olympics. This unyielding commitment has seen her rise through the ranks to become a multiple world champion in the S14 Intellectually Impaired classification. At the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games, Poppy delivered an inspiring performance, claiming three Gold and two Silver Paralympic medals.
